bASSmaster barry
Here's my buddy Barry with a 16 inch, 2 pound largemouth he caught on a recent outing to Lake Almanor near Canyon Dam. He was pretty proud of it although I'd say that judging from the coloration (or more importantly lack thereof) the fish may be HIV positive.

Hey I didn't know that kosher fish came out of Almanor! The last Jew to catch a fish that big fed a whole mountainful of his people.

Ah yes, having grown up in such beautiful areas as Atwater, Merced, Planada, etc, I can vouch for that. It had been so long that I'd almost forgotten about the great sport of irrigation canal fishing!!! Nothing quite like needing a tetanus shot after you eat your catch!

Wow, that is possibly the most intelligent thing I have EVER heard lumber come up with, very witty...lol
Just for the record , allow me to defend this fish. First of all it was a crappy (no pun)lighting situation wich causes all the concern over the fish, there is actually more color in it. If anyone would like to come by my freezer and check it out feel free. Second of all it still has more color than any Bass pulled out of that lake by the humble author of this blog, as I have not seen him produce any Bass this year yet....so there..lol
Please go easy on me, I'm still learning this whole lake fishing thing, I am a recovering Ocean Fisherman

I have in fact caught a few green carp (translation: bass) on Almanor. All Smallmouth. All colorful. All very small. All accidental while drifting roe for trout.
And I stand by my claim; your fish should be in a hospice, not a freezer.

Now Doug-E, do you even own a fishing pole? If so have you ever used it? I would love to see a picture of you and a fish together, preferably one you caught with said pole; or would this activity cramp your hair style? lol

No Barry, I am not an angler, or, as you like to be called, an analer. But, I have caught some Eagle Lake trout in my time, and they looked a whole lot healthier than that fish. P.S., Mike egged me on to dis you on this post, so go cap on your girlfriend for this one! LOL!

I'm game for the Derby, until then critism will not be accepted from anyone who has not fished since MC Hammer was "cool". And just for the record, I already know that the tackle you give me does not catch fish..lol
Let's plan on a fish genocide this fall then?
Doug-E, I'll bring the hair gel, and don't wear cologne, we want to catch fish, not kill them will chemical agents...
